Owensboro, KY - Reinhardt University capped a dominant weekend at KWC with three straight-set victories, highlighted by a big-game sweep of No. 10 Benedictine Mesa on Friday night. The Eagles opened the event with a 3-0 win over St. Ambrose (25-13, 29-27, 25-19) before upsetting nationally ranked Benedictine Mesa 3-0 (27-25, 25-22, 25-23) in the nightcap. Reinhardt then completed the perfect trip Saturday morning by sweeping Judson 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-15).
In the opener against St. Ambrose, Reinhardt established control early with a commanding 25-13 win in the first set, fueled by efficient attacking and steady defense. The second set turned into a back-and-forth battle, but the Eagles pulled out a 29-27 win behind a late service ace from Pedro Motta Charamba. Reinhardt closed the match 25-19 in the third, with Quintin Fongbemi delivering the final kill to secure the sweep.
