Twenty-Three Saves Brings Webb League Accolades

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Matt Webb of Reinhardt is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2020 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 16.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week
 Matt Webb - Jr. - Woodstock, Ga.

  • Collected 23 saves over two contests.
  • Made 14 saves over No. 5 Keiser (Fla.) and nine against No. 3 Lawrence Tech (Mich.).
  • Added four ground balls.
  • This is his first weekly honor this season.

Week 1 - JT Smith, SCAD Savannah (Defensive); Elliot Fish, SCAD Savannah (Offensive)
Week 2 - Matt Webb, Reinhardt (Defensive); Elliot Fish, SCAD Savannah (Offensive) 

No. 10 Missouri Valley comes to town on March 11 for a 5 p.m. matchup inside Ken White Field at University Stadium.
