The Eagles showcased strategic gameplay, ending the first half with a solid 2-0 lead at Montreat's venue in Black Mountain, N.C. Despite a weather delay due to lightning during the second half kickoff, the Eagles maintained their composure to secure a 2-1 victory.
Haley Sturla starred in the match, scoring both goals for Reinhardt, with assists from Juliana Ramirez Molina and Reese Wise. Sturla's first goal came early at 7:58, setting a strong pace for the Eagles. Her second goal at 24:00 further solidified Reinhardt's lead. Montreat managed to narrow the gap with a goal from Rebeca Cruz Manon at 80:30, assisted by Natalie Hall, but it was not enough to turn the tide. Reinhardt's goalkeeper, Reagan Horton, contributed significantly by making five crucial saves throughout the match.
