Goalie Sarah Bambrick Earns AAC Defensive Player of the Week!

WALESKA, Ga. - Sarah Bambrick of Reinhardt and Sarah Clark of Brenau are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

This is the second edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 11.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Sarah Bambrick - Reinhardt - Junior - Morpeth, England

  • Recorded 8 saves in a 1-0 loss to No. 17 SCAD Savannah (Ga.)
  • This is her first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Sarah Clark - Brenau - Freshman - Clarkesville, Ga.

  • Had a hand in all of Brenau's goals in their 4-1 win over Faulkner (Ala.).
  • Tallied 3 goals and dished out 1 assist.
  • Scored the game-winning goal.
  • This is her first weekly honor of the season.
