Eagles Make Quick Work of the Thomas More Saints 24-6
Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt women's lacrosse team made quick work of Thomas More at home on Thursday afternoon to win 24-6. The Reinhardt Eagles came out firing shots resulting in a running clock just 10 minutes into the first quarter. This was a great game for the younger athletes on the team to shine allowing 3 different freshman to record their first ever collegiate goal with Reinhardt University. These freshman include Samantha Poole, Gracie Cooper, and Casey Kidd. Anna Marie Gazzo led the Eagle offense with 6 goals and Jillian Mello was closely behind with 5. Shelby O'Neil and Mia Griswold each had 3 assists. Defensively, Reinhardt was able to let all 3 goalies into action with freshman, Emma Underwood leading in saves with 4 after only playing the 4th and final quarter. The Eagles are currently sitting with a record of 5-3 with conference play about to begin this upcoming Saturday.
