Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt Women's Lacrosse team played a good NCAA DII opponent, Oglethorpe University this past Tuesday, February 14th. This game was a fun one to watch due to it being their first home game and Reinhardt's Anna Marie Gazzo recorded her 100th career goal. The first quarter was filled strong offense as it seemed like there was a ball struck through the back of the net every minute. Reinhardt was able to get 9 goals in the first quarter while Oglethorpe had 4. Reinhardt maintained their momentum throughout every quarter, ultimately clenching this win 20-11. The Eagles had three players in Jillian Mello,Shelby O'Neil, and Anna Marie Gazzo, that were total offensive weapons, each scoring 5 goals a piece. This was 75% of the total goals for the Eagles. Defensively, goalie Madison Hasty had 6 saves. The next game for Reinhardt will require them to travel to Life University on Tuesday, February 28th and play at 6:00pm.
