Athens, TN. - The Reinhardt Eagles earned a 67–61 road victory over Tennessee Wesleyan. Reinhardt led from start to finish, opening the game with a 23–14 first-quarter advantage and carrying a 37–23 lead into halftime after solid defensive play and efficient scoring.
Tennessee Wesleyan cut into the deficit during the third quarter, but Reinhardt maintained control throughout the period and responded in the fourth quarter with key defensive stops and timely baskets. The Eagles limited scoring opportunities down the stretch to secure the conference win on the road.
Londaisha Smith led Reinhardt with 18 points, while Emariah Grant finished with 12 points. I'ziah McCutchins added 11 points and five assists, and Chloe VanDyke recorded 10 rebounds. Reinhardt shot 42.3 percent from the field and held a 39–35 advantage on the boards in the win.
With the victory, Reinhardt improves to 10–5 overall and 7–1 in conference play. The Eagles will return to action in their upcoming conference matchup at home, on Saturday, January 10th, where they will face Columbia College at 2pm.
