Columbia, KY. - In a regional basketball game at Biggers Sports Center on Friday night, the Reinhardt University women's basketball team faced off against the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders. Despite high hopes and strong individual performances, the Eagles could not secure a victory, falling 68-50 to the Blue Raiders.
The game began with Lindsey Wilson taking an early lead, using effective three-point shooting and a solid defense to establish a commanding presence. By the end of the first period, Lindsey Wilson led 20-15, further stretching their lead to 38-24 by halftime. Notables from Reinhardt in the first half included Haley Johnson, who scored a key three-pointer late in the game, and McKinley Brothers, who assisted three times.
The third period saw Reinhardt cutting into the lead slightly, thanks to persistent defensive efforts, but Lindsey Wilson's Meadow Tisdale and Isabel Garcia kept the pressure with multiple steals. Going into the final period, Lindsey Wilson maintained an 18-point lead and closed out the game strong, ultimately winning with a final score of 68-50. For Reinhardt, standout players included Haley Johnson, who finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds, and Lana VanDyke, who led with 8 rebounds.
