RU WBB Begins Season with 75-60 Win over Brenau
Waleska, Ga. -The Reinhardt University Eagles showcased a dominant performance in basketball against the Brenau Golden Tigers on Saturday afternoon, in Waleska, GA. The game, part of their AAC conference commitments, ended with Reinhardt University gaining a convincing victory, 75-60, enhancing their season record to a perfect 3-0.
Quarter 1 set the tone for the game, with Reinhardt hitting the ground running. Emariah Grant opened the scoring with four 3-pointers, contributing significantly to a quick 12 points Defensive prowess led to several turnovers from Brenau, allowing Reinhardt to close the period at 20-10. By halftime, bolstered by bench players and continued solid defensive efforts, Reinhardt widened the gap to 36-18.
The momentum did not wane after the break, as the third period saw Reinhardt's lead peak at 25 points, finishing at 59-40.
