Reinhardt Posts Two School Records, 18 PRs at Berry College Field Day
Rome, GA - Reinhardt Track and Field turned in a strong three-day showing at the Berry College Field Day in Rome, Georgia, producing two school records and 18 personal bests from April 9-11. The Eagles did not have a team score listed, but the meet featured standout efforts across the sprints, hurdles, distance events and throws as Reinhardt continued building momentum ahead of the postseason.
The top headline performances came from Kenadi Aker and Caleb Hamilton, who each reset the program record book. Aker established a new Reinhardt standard in the 400 meters, finishing in 1:00.26, and also posted a 12.74 in the 100. Hamilton set a new school mark in the discus with a throw of 47.17 meters, then added a 48.26-meter effort in the hammer throw to cap a productive meet in the field events.
Reinhardt also picked up several notable marks on the track. Chase Malloy ran 49.76 in the 400 meters, one of the team's top sprint performances of the meet. In the hurdles, Jace Anderson recorded a personal best of 54.34 in the 400-meter hurdles. The Eagles added another distance breakthrough when Will Ort clocked a personal record 15:43.29 in the 5,000 meters.
The throws group added more depth to the weekend, led by Ethan Rice in the javelin at 58.26 meters. Combined with Hamilton's school record in the discus, Reinhardt's field-event production gave the Eagles one of their most balanced meets of the outdoor season. According to the team statistics, the program finished the weekend with two school records and 18 personal bests, a reflection of progress across multiple event groups rather than one isolated standout.
That overall meet summary matched the flow of the weekend in Rome, where Reinhardt consistently found new marks in nearly every phase of competition. With record-setting efforts from Aker and Hamilton, plus personal records from Anderson, Ort and others, the Eagles leave Berry College Field Day with a strong set of results as the schedule turns toward championship season.
Reinhardt's next meet is the Keith Wright Memorial Meet, hosted by Life University in Marietta, as the Eagles continue preparations for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships set for April 23rd-25 in Montreat, North Carolina.
