Eagles Golf Moving on to the Next Round of NAIA Championship
Silvis, Ill. - After two days at the NAIA Golf Nationals, the Eagles have made the cut to move on to the next stage of the tournament. On day one, the Eagles were in 11th place with a score of 287. On day two, they were at 296 which put them at 583 total. The top team from the two days was Dalton State University at 560 with Keiser University just behind at 562 and fellow AAC member, Point University, coming in at #3 with a score of 564. There is a fine line between being in the top three and the 14th spot where the Eagles finished.
The top 17 teams make it on to the next round so the Eagles did enough and give themselves a chance to still get a lot done. It is a big accomplishment for the team to make it to the next round, but they have a chance to do even more over the next couple of days.
The top individual finisher for the Eagles was Hunter Clay who finished tied for the 10th position. Clay shot a total of 138 for both days with day one at 70 strokes and day two at 68. Below are the other scores from Chanc Willis, Brooks Gineris, Jack Haller, and Dalton Henson.
| T14 | Reinhardt University | 287 | 296 | 583 |
| T56 | Chanc Willis (3) | 69 | 77 | 146 |
| T78 | Brooks Gineris (4) | 71 | 77 | 148 |
