WALESKA, Ga. - It was a good week for Reinhardt Football and three of its members have been rewarded with Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Players of the Week! Tyress McKey of Reinhardt is the AAC Football Offensive Player of the Week, while Tylan Oglesby of Reinhardt and Reid Schratwieser of Reinhardt are the Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the seventh edition of the awards for the 2022 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 17.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Tylan Oglesby - Reinhardt - Senior - Atlanta, Ga.

  • Intercepted 2 passes, returning them for 130 yards and a touchdown, in a 45-21 win at Bluefield.
  • Returned an interception 85 yards for a touchdown.
  • His 2 interceptions were both game-changers and the pick-six put the game out of reach for Bluefield.
  • Had 2 tackles.
  • This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Offensive Player of the Week
 Tyress McKey - Reinhardt - Freshman - Villa Rica, Ga.

  • Rushed for 145 yards and 1 touchdown in a 45-21 win over Bluefield.
  • Averaged 16.1 yards per carry.
  • Had a long run of 75 yards.
  • This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Reid Schratwieser - Reinhardt - Sophomore - Atlanta, Ga.

  • Went 6-for-6 on PATs and had 1 field goal in a 45-21 win over Bluefield.
  • Had a long field goal of 23 yards.
  • 9 total points for the Eagles.
  • This is his second weekly honor of the season.
