Eagles Pick-Up win over Ohio Christian at Neutral Location
Knoxville, TN. - The Reinhardt University Eagles secured a victory in their women's volleyball regular season game against Ohio Christian on Saturday afternoon, in Knoxville, Tenn. This victory marked their second match of the day; the first was against Johnson in an AAC game.
The match against Ohio Christian was hard-fought across four sets. The Eagles narrowly lost the first set 24-26 but came back to win the subsequent sets 25-20, 25-16, and 25-23, sealing a match victory with a final score of 3-1 in favor of Reinhardt University. This result continued their strong season performance.
Key players for Reinhardt University included Juliette Baffico, who led with 15 kills and also secured 15 digs, showcasing her all-around ability. Breah Watson was also notable with 11 kills and stood out defensively with one solo block and three total blocks. Ashlynn Barnes contributed significantly with 30 assists which facilitated numerous crucial plays throughout the match.
Defensive efforts were supported by Silvia Aguado with a team-high of 18 digs, reinforcing the Eagles' strong defensive game. Serving was equally effective with Addison Dunagan delivering 3 aces that contributed to the team's victory.
