Eagles Secure 3-1 Victory at Tennessee Wesleyan
Athens, TN. - In an exciting AAC conference match on Friday night, the Reinhardt University Eagles Women's Volleyball team secured another win, defeating the Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs with a final score of 3-1. This victory at an away location underscores the Eagles' prowess in maintaining a strong season record of 19-4 overall and 11-0 in the conference.
The match opened with a tightly contested first set, where Reinhardt set the tone with a 25-21 win. They continued their dominant performance in the second set, concluding it at 25-20. Tennessee Wesleyan fought back in the third set, taking it 25-16, but Reinhardt confidently sealed their victory by clinching the fourth set with a 25-17 score.
Key players led the charge for the Eagles, with Jenna Smith delivering 14 kills, followed by Juliette Baffico with 12, and Shelby Simmons contributing 6. Their defensive game was equally strong, highlighted by Kaylee Cantlin with 4 blocks. Furthermore, the digs were impressively managed by Silvia Aguado with 18 digs, helping keep the team's momentum.
