Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt women's volleyball team traveled to Columbia College to play the Koalas in an AAC match-up on Saturday morning. The Eagles dominated as they walked away with the 3-0 sweep (3-0; 25-14, 25-15, 25-11).
The Eagles had a great offensive day as they totaled 38 kills to average a .341 hitting percentage. RU's offense was led by Jenna Smith who totaled 9 kills, while Giulia Julve and Juliette Baffico each added 7.Julve also added 4 service aces. Ashlynn Barnes was the winning setter with 32 total assists.
Defensively, Reinhardt totaled 51 digs, led by RU Libero, Silvia Aguado, who tallied 19. Following her was Sophia St. Clair, who tallied 9.
The Eagles now sit with an AAC record of 2-0 and are 5-4 overall. Up next, the Eagles will be playing in a home match against the Bluefield Rams this upcoming Friday, September 12th, at 6:30pm.
