Athens, TN – The Reinhardt Eagles traveled to Tennessee Wesleyan to face the Bulldogs and earned a quick 3-0 sweep to clench their 4th conference shut-out of the season. The Eagles managed to go take out the Koalas and improve to 6-2 in the AAC (3-0; 25-9, 25-21, 25-14).
Outstanding Performers:
- Offensively, Katherine Perrin led in kills with 8, hitting a .375. Maria Piliposyans and Allison Selway each had 6. Maria Piliposyans also tallied 4 blocks.
- Alma Vazquez Nunez ended the match with spree squad-high 11 digs, while Sarah Sweet chipped in 8. Nunezand Sweet also added 2 service aces.
- Maria Cordova threw up 19 assist and added 7 digs in the sweep.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Reinhardt University led in every statistical category as a team.
- The Eagles totaled 38 kills for a .263 hitting percentage, as the Bulldogs of TWU were limited to 18 kills and a -.039 hitting percentage.
- The Eagles also led 7-4 in aces, 32–18 in assists, and out-dug the Bulldogs 56-42.
- Reinhardt was also up 8-5 in blocks over TWU.
- Lastly, Reinhardt earned 51 points to Tennessee Wesleyan's 27.
