EAGLES FALL IN CLOSE 5-SET VS BLUEFIELD

Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt University women's volleyball team fell in a home AAC conference game to Bluefield College Friday afternoon, September 16, in a tight 5-set match (2-3; 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 21-25, 13-15).

Notes: 

• This was the first loss for the Eagles(4-8, 2-1 AAC) in their conference play, while the Bluefield Rams(4-6, 2-1 AAC) clench another conference win.

• "I want to, again, thank our Reinhardt family for showing out and supporting the team tonight! The fans were amazing!

Standout Performers:

• Allison Selway was a big threat in the Reinhardt's offense with 14 kills, hitting a .231 for the night. 
• Alma Vazquez Nunez finished with a team-high of 33 digs.
• Samantha Cramer had 27 assists while Maria Cordova tallied a double-double with 26 assists and 12 kills.
• Mackenzie Burke lead the team in service aces.

Inside the Box Score:

• Reinhardt finished with 56 kills to the 54 from Bluefield. Although leading in kills, the Rams managed to hit a .185 to the Eagle's .089 and had 17 less hitting errors as a team.
• Both teams finished with 10.0 blocks.
• Reinhardt led in digs with 89 to Bluefield's 84.
• The Eagles also led in aces 11-3.

• The Reinhardt Eagles will continue their conference play the following day, Saturday, September 17^th, versus Kentucky Christian. The game will take place at 1pm in the Brown Athletic Center in Waleska, GA.
