Aker & Savage Set New School Records in Birmingham as the 2025-26 Indoor Season Begins!
Birmingham, AL - Reinhardt Track & Field got its 2025-26 Indoor Track Season going on Friday in Birmingham, Alabama. The meet was held at the Birmingham Crossplex, where the Eagles will be traveling multiple times this season. The team had two school records broken and several personal records hit.
Sprinter Kenadi Aker is in her third season of track & field with Reinhardt, and she seems to be very prepared for the upcoming indoor and outdoor seasons. She was able to set a new school record in the women's 200 meters with a time of 26.89! Aker has been a consistent performer for the track team since entering Reinhardt three seasons ago. She was hampered by a leg injury her sophomore year, but she seems to have come back strong as the new season got underway. She will be a leader to these young sprinters entering their collegiate meets for the first time.
Freshman Lilly Savage burst onto the scene in her first collegiate meet. She set a new record in the high jump for the Eagles at 1.6 meters (5'4"). Although much is unknown at the moment about Savage, she will be one to watch as the indoor season progresses into the spring outdoor season.
