Newsome and the Eagles Finish Third at TMU/Brenau Invitational

Gainesville, Ga. - The Men's and Women's Golf Team played in the Golden Tiger Invitational on Monday, March 14th, and Tuesday, March 15th, which was hosted by Truett McConnell and Brenau Universities. The Eagles had a successful trip with the Men's team finishing in second place overall and the Women's team finishing in third place.

The top finishers for the Women's side were Brooke Newsome who placed 10th place, Lauren Welte who finished 22nd, and Katie Kauffman in 25th place. The top finishers on the Men's side were Hunter Clay in third place overall, Jack Haller in 4th place, and Kevin Verrill in 8th place.

The Men's Team will be back on the course on Monday, March 28th, and Tuesday, March 29th at the USCB Invitational at the Oldfield Golf Club in Okatie, SC. The Women's Team will have some time off as they will not play again until April 11th and 12th at the Milligan Invitational in Elizabethton, TN. After this, it will be onto the AAC Qualifiers and AAC Tournament.
