Reinhardt Nearly Claims Top-Five Finish at AAC Fall Championship

BRASELTON, Ga. – (Results) The Eagle women headed to the Chateau Elan Resort for the AAC Fall Championship and went up against a strong field of 14 total competing teams, finishing near the middle of the pack in sixth place.
Reinhardt carded a cumulative 680 in the two-day event on the par 72, 5,810-yard course.
Katie Kauffman highlighted the hometown squad's finishes with a card inside the top 25 – T22 (+23) – and was closely followed by the trio of Debbie Blount (T31), Lauren Welte (T37) and Brooke Newsome (T39).
Rounding out the top five for the Eagles was Meg McCord, who was able to rebound in round two with a seven-shot jump on Tuesday to claim 41st all by herself.
The final tournament of the fall comes up on Oct. 26 in the Berry Invitational.
