Gineris Wins His Second Tournament as an Eagle in South Carolina
Okatie, SC - Eagles Men's Golf competed in the Monument Golf Oldfield Classis hosted by USC-Beaufort on Monday and Tuesday this week. The team finished 4th overall in a very talented lineup of NAIA schools including Dalton State (ranked #4) and Coastal Georgia (ranked #20).
The Eagles were able to compete fine right next to these Top golf teams finishing in a solid 4th position with a team score of 873. This was just one stroke behind the third-place finisher, Point University, and three points behind the second-place finisher, Dalton State.
Brooks Gineris was the overall winner with a total score of 209 from his three rounds. He was four strokes better than the second-place finisher from Dalton State. Gineris had two rounds shooting an incredible 68 and his last round was just one over par at 73. This is the seniors' second tournament win as an Eagle and shows the strength of this golf team.
Jack Haller and Hunter Clay were just behind Gineris where both had low rounds of 69. Haller finished in 13th place overall with a total of 218 and Clay finished in 16th place with a total of 219.
Finishing up for the Eagles were Dalton Henson with a 223 total, Chanc Willis with 226, Kevin Verill with 231, and Dylan Long with 234.
Next up for the Eagles will be local where they will host a tournament at Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, GA on April 10th & 11th.
