Reinhardt University Athletics proudly announces Emerson Joseph as the new head coach for Reinhardt Flag Football. The Executive Director of Athletics announced on Tuesday, April 13th, that he has hired Joseph to lead the Eagles’ Flag Football program.

Emerson Joseph joins Reinhardt University as head coach after two years as assistant coach and defensive coordinator for Life University’s women’s flag football team, where he helped build a competitive and successful program. Bringing over a decade of experience in flag and tackle football as both a player and a coach, Joseph is recognized for his ability to mentor athletes, foster teamwork, and develop programs that emphasize both skill and personal growth.

Before Life University, Joseph led the girls’ flag football program at Somerset Academy South Homestead, guiding the team to a 27-11 record over three seasons and helping develop multiple All-Dade players. Under his leadership, the team achieved notable regional success. He also served as an assistant coach for the boys’ tackle football team and led strength and conditioning programs for both teams. In addition, Joseph spent 3 years as an educator, further honing his skills in mentoring and supporting student-athletes academically and personally.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Sport Management from Florida International University, where he played on the football team and later assisted in coaching under legendary Head Coach Butch Davis, gaining valuable experience in both playing and mentoring athletes.

Passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field, Emerson emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. His mission is to equip young athletes with the skills, mindset, and confidence to succeed in all aspects of life.
