Eagles Fly Over Rams in Homecoming Matchup

Waleska, GA- In a pivotal AAC showdown, the Reinhardt Eagles delivered a commanding performance against the Bluefield Rams, concluding with a solid 35-12 victory on their Homecoming! The Eagles exhibited a masterclass in rushing and brilliant defense! In total, twelve Eagles ran the ball for an offensive total of 289 yards and four touchdowns!
The match began with an early lead established by Ethan Rice's spirited 6-yard touchdown run, setting the Eagles on a path to dominance. Following Rice, Jamarion Walker added fire to the scoreboard with two impressive touchdowns, furthering the Eagles' substantial lead. Taylor Jackson's 53-yard touchdown pass to Cam Curtis was a highlight, showcasing the team's offensive depth and sparking excitement. The first half saw the Eagles pulling ahead determinedly to a halftime score of 28-6.
In the second half, the Eagles continued to show defensive prowess by holding the visiting Rams to just six points. In total, the Rams were only able to generate about three hundred against the Eagles stingy defenders.
Isaiah Payton later cemented the Eagles' victory with a robust 2-yard touchdown run, completing a series of strategic plays that overwhelmed their opponents. The match ended with the Eagles upholding a strong lead at 35-12.
Key players like Jackson, who finished the match with 171 passing yards and 2 touchdowns, and Curtis, with a notable 53-yard touchdown reception, were instrumental in the victory. Walker also made significant contributions with 41 rushing yards alongside his dual touchdowns. The Eagles showed their force with an amazing 289 yards on the ground!
Defensively, Emmanuel Olaitan was a dominating force on the field with 3 sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 6 total tackles. Kamari Poindexter was the leading tackler with 7 tackles. In the kicking game, Alex Hanson again proved why he has received AAC Player of the Week twice this season. He was 5 for 5 in point after attempts and he had 6 touchbacks from his 6 kickoffs.
