Jackson and McKey Awarded for Weekend Performance

Waleska, GA - Despite the narrow loss to #15 Georgetown Football on the road in Kentucky, two Eagles were awarded with AAC Player of the Week honors.
Junior Tyress McKey returned two kickoffs for a touchdown, earning him the AAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week award. The award is based on his performance for the week of Sept. 23-29.

- Returned 2 kickoffs for touchdowns against Georgetown (Ky.)
- Returned 3 kicks for a total of 184 yards
- Set the AAC record for the most kickoff returns for a touchdown in a game.
- Set the AAC record for the best kickoff return average in a game at 61.3 yards per return
- Also ran the ball 6 times for 19 yards.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
Senior Taylor Jackson III passed for 234 yards and 2 touchdowns on Saturday, earning him the AAC Football Offensive Player of the Week award. The award is based on his performance for the week of Sept. 23-29.

The Eagles will return on the road this Saturday with their first AAC matchup of the 2024 season. Reinhardt starts the AAC campaign with the University of Pikeville in Kentucky. Both teams are very talented and tough with the winner most likely having the upper hand in the conference standings. The game is set for 1:30 pm kickoff time.
