ASHEVILLE, N.C. – After helping Reinhardt remain unbeaten over the last seven days and putting up career numbers in the process, Catherine Shope was selected as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the fifth edition of the weekly honors for the 2019-20 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Dec. 9.

Shope has been one of the driving forces behind the Eagles' 9-0 start to the year, and last week was no different for the sophomore, as she put up an average of 25.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists from her guard position.

The Woodstock, Ga., native shot 51.9 percent from the floor (61.1 from 3-point land) and made 9-of-10 free throws.

Additionally, her 28 points off the bench against Brenau was a career-high.
