WALESKA, Ga. -- Nikki Roddy, a 5-foot-5 utility player from Canton, Ga., has signed a letter of intent to attend Reinhardt University in the fall and play softball for the Lady Eagles in 2011 under head coach Glen Crawford, the 2010 Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Roddy comes to Reinhardt as a transfer from Chipola College and has two years of athletic eligibility remaining. She is a 2008 graduate of Woodstock High School, where she played for former head coach Tonya Sebring.

WALESKA, Ga. -- Betsy Lawson, a 5-foot-9 utility player from Woodstock, Ga., has signed a letter of intent to attend Reinhardt University in the fall and play softball for the Lady Eagles in 2011 under head coach Glen Crawford, the 2010 Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Lawson comes to Reinhardt as a transfer from Berry College and has three years of athletic eligibility remaining. She is a 2009 graduate of Woodstock High School, where she played for head coaches Kortney Dempsey and Tonya Sebring.
 Head softball coach Glen Crawford recently represented Reinhardt as a speaker at a coaches clinic in South Georgia.

SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. -- Reinhardt University head softball coach Glen Crawford, the 2010 Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, recently served as a featured speaker at the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association's 71st Annual Summer Conference. The event took place from July 1-3 at Sea Palms Resort on St. Simons Island, Ga.

WALESKA, Ga. -- Callie Ann Poole, a 5-foot-11 infielder from Howard, Ga., has signed a letter of intent to attend Reinhardt University in the fall and play softball for the Lady Eagles in 2011 under head coach Glen Crawford, the 2010 Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Poole comes to Reinhardt as a transfer from Mercer University but she did not play there, thus giving her four years of athletic eligibility remaining. She is a 2009 graduate of Taylor County High School in Butler, Ga., where she played for head coach Will Harris.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- At the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship tournament on Friday, the No. 1-seed Reinhardt College softball team had its record-setting 2010 season end with a 5-3 loss in eight innings to the fourth-seeded Virginia Intermont College Lady Cobras. The eight-team double-elimination event is being played at Domtar Park with the winner earning the AAC's automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship tournament.
