WALESKA, Ga. -- In a back-and-forth non-conference game that took three hours and 36 minutes to complete, the Reinhardt University baseball team lost a 13-12 slugfest to the visiting University of the Cumberlands Patriots (from Williamsburg, Ky.) on Saturday afternoon at Ken White Baseball Field.

WALESKA, Ga. -- On Friday afternoon, the Reinhardt University baseball team -- under first-year head coach John Ihlenburg -- began the 2012 season with a doubleheader split against the visiting University of the Cumberlands Patriots (from Williamsburg, Ky.) in non-conference play at Ken White Baseball Field. Reinhardt lost the first game 5-3 but bounced back with a 5-4 win, Ihlenburg's first as a collegiate head coach.

WALESKA, Ga. -- Reinhardt University baseball players Josh Wilson and Zach Kles were chosen by their teammates as team captains for the upcoming 2012 season, Reinhardt first-year head coach John Ihlenburg recently announced. Both Wilson and Kles are seniors.

WALESKA, Ga. -- John Ihlenburg, who officially took over as Reinhardt University's head baseball coach on July 1, has announced two members of his inaugural coaching staff. Brett Johnston, who served as a volunteer on the staff last year, was elevated to the full-time assistant coach position while former Eagles standout Jarrod Willis is back as a part-time assistant coach.

WALESKA, Ga. -- KJ Reid, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed pitcher from Woodstock, Ga., has signed a letter of intent to attend Reinhardt University this fall and play baseball for the Eagles in the spring of 2012 under head coach John Ihlenburg. Reid comes to Reinhardt from Woodstock High School, where he played for head coach Scott Krug.
