WALESKA, Ga. – Karl Ekwurtzel, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed pitcher/shortstop from Decatur, Ga., has signed an athletic grant-in-aid to attend Reinhardt College next fall and play baseball for the Eagles under head coach Bill Popp. Ekwurtzel will come to Reinhardt from Lakeside High School in Atlanta, Ga.
 Jarrod Willis enjoyed an outstanding junior season for Reinhardt and was named to the 2008 NAIA All-Region XIII Team.

WALESKA, Ga. – Two members of the 2008 Reinhardt College baseball team were recently recognized with more postseason honors. Representing Reinhardt on the NAIA All-Region XIII Baseball Team were junior outfielder Jarrod Willis and senior outfielder/first baseman Daniel Jape. Both Willis and Jape had previously earned First Team All-Southern States Athletic Conference accolades.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Reinhardt College baseball team, the No. 7 seed, had its 2008 season come to an end on Thursday afternoon at the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament with a 13-8 loss to the top-seeded Lee University Flames, who are ranked third nationally in the NAIA. The eight-team, double-elimination tournament is being hosted by Faulkner University at Harrison Field and scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
 Joe Niehoff's two-out, run-scoring double in the 11th inning lifted Reinhardt to a 5-4 win over Berry at the SSAC Tournament.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On Thursday, the No. 7-seed Reinhardt College baseball squad claimed its first-ever win at the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament with a hard-fought 5-4 victory in 11 innings over the No. 6-seeded Berry College Vikings in an elimination game. Faulkner University is hosting the eight-team, double-elimination event at Harrison Field. The tournament is slated to end on Saturday.
 Reinhardt's Daniel Jape earned First Team All-Conference honors while also being selected to the SSAC All-Academic Team.

WALESKA, Ga. – Several members of the 2008 Reinhardt College baseball team were honored with postseason awards from the Southern States Athletic Conference on Wednesday night. In a vote of the 10 SSAC head coaches, Reinhardt had two First Team All-SSAC performers, two players named Second Team All-Conference, a pair of newcomers selected to the All-Freshman Team and one member of the Gold Glove Team. Additionally, the Eagles had 10 players – more than any other school – earn a place on the All-Academic Team.
