WALESKA, Ga. -- Nick Draghiceanu, from Canton, Ga., has signed a letter of intent to attend Reinhardt College in the fall and play tennis for the Eagles during the 2011 spring season under head coach Jennifer Sackman. The 6-foot, 170-pound Draghiceanu will come to Reinhardt from Woodstock (Ga.) High School, where he played for head coach Paul McLendon.

WALESKA, Ga. -- Garrick Sanford, from Chatsworth, Ga., has signed a letter of intent to attend Reinhardt College in the fall and play tennis for the Eagles during the 2011 spring season under head coach Jennifer Sackman. The 6-foot, 170-pound Sanford will come to Reinhardt as a transfer from North Georgia College & State University, where he did not compete. Sanford will have four years of eligibility remaining.

WALESKA, Ga. -- Five members of the 2010 Reinhardt College men's and women's tennis teams were recently honored with postseason awards from the Appalachian Athletic Conference. In a vote of the six AAC head coaches, the Reinhardt men's squad had one All-AAC selection and two players qualify for the all-academic team. The Lady Eagles had four members who earned a spot on the AAC All-Academic Team.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- On Friday, the Reinhardt College men's and women's tennis teams concluded their 2010 seasons at their respective Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships. The No. 4-seed Reinhardt men's squad beat the fifth-seeded University of Virginia's College at Wise Highland Cavaliers 6-1, advancing to the tournament's semifinal round, before being eliminated with a 5-0 loss to the top-seeded Union College (Ky.) Bulldogs, ranked 13th nationally in the NAIA. The No. 5-seeded Lady Eagles dropped a 5-3 decision to the fourth-seeded Union Lady Bulldogs in the opening round of the women's event. The single-elimination tournaments are being held at the Champions Club.
