WALESKA, Ga. -- Several members of the 2009 Reinhardt College women's soccer team were honored with postseason awards from the Appalachian Athletic Conference on Thursday night. In a vote of the eight AAC head coaches, Reinhardt had two First Team All-AAC selections, one second team all-conference pick and six players named to the all-academic team.
 Lindsay Taylor scored her final goal for Reinhardt on Saturday, finishing her brilliant three-year career with 97 points.

ATHENS, Tenn. -- In the opening round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon, the No. 5-seeded Reinhardt College women's soccer team had its 2009 season come to an end in a shootout on the road against the fourth-seeded Tennessee Wesleyan College Lady Bulldogs. The two teams played to a 1-1 tie after two 10-minute overtime periods before the match was decided in a shootout, which Tennessee Wesleyan won 4-3.
 Head coach Andy Kaplan will lead the Reinhardt women's soccer team into Saturday's AAC Tournament quarterfinal match.

WALESKA, Ga. -- The schedule has been set for the 2009 Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship tournament, with opening-round matches being played this Saturday at campus sites of the higher seeded teams. The fifth-seeded Reinhardt College Eagles will take part in a quarterfinal game at the No. 4-seeded Tennessee Wesleyan College Lady Bulldogs on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Athens, Tenn.
 The Lady Eagles' lone senior, Lindsay Taylor, was recognized prior to Tuesday afternoon's match as part of Senior Day.

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- On the road against the Union College Lady Bulldogs in an Appalachian Athletic Conference game, the Reinhardt College women's soccer team dropped a close 2-1 decision on Saturday afternoon at Burch/Nau Field, which features an artificial playing surface. Union, which has clinched the AAC regular season championship, received seven votes in the latest NAIA poll to rank tied for 38th nationally.
