Angela Monds - Head Coach
Serving as the head coach for the Reinhardt College volleyball team is Angela Monds, who took over the program prior to the 2007 season.
In her first year at the helm, Monds was named the 2007 Southern States Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after leading Reinhardt to a 17-11 overall record, a vast improvement from the 8-26 mark in 2006. Under Monds, the Lady Eagles had a nine-match winning streak toward the end of the season and produced a 7-4 record in conference play, finishing fourth and earning the No. 4 seed in the SSAC Tournament. In the SSAC’s preseason coaches poll, Reinhardt was picked to finish in seventh place among the conference’s nine teams.
Monds, a federal investigator in Arkansas before moving to Waleska, Ga., has coached volleyball at the Junior Olympic level in the past while also working with area high school teams. Additionally, she ran the club program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. A native of West Plains, Mo., Monds played collegiately at Pittsburg State University and then Abilene Christian University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1998. In high school, Monds was an all-state performer in both volleyball and track and field.
Monds and her husband Jeremy have three sons: Kylar, Kasen and Kevan.
