WALESKA, Ga. -- Samuel Caldwell, from Bremen, Ga., has signed a letter of intent to attend Reinhardt University in the fall and compete in cross country for the Eagles during the 2010 season under head coach Dianna Hinton Zima. The 5-foot-9, 130-pound Caldwell will come to Reinhardt from Bremen High School, where he ran for head coach Noah Steed.
Caldwell, the son of Raymont and Barbara Caldwell, participated in both cross country and track at BHS. As a senior, he finished in 34th place at the Class A state cross country meet with a 5K time of 18:03.03. In track under head coach Scott Hodges, Caldwell ended fourth in the state in the 800-meter run with a 2:04.325 time this spring.
