ATHENS, Tenn. -- Two members of the Reinhardt College women's golf program participated in the Tennessee Wesleyan College Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The 36-hole event took place at the par-72, 5817-yard Springbrook Country Club with 18 holes being played each day.
Reinhardt did not qualify for a team score as four players are needed. Six squads competed with the University of the Cumberlands Patriots, ranked 20th nationally in the NAIA, winning the tournament by shooting 344-318--662, 59 strokes better than the second-place Ohio Dominican University Panthers.
The top finisher for the Lady Eagles in the 37-player field was Megan Lane, who ended with 92-88--180, tying for ninth place. Freshman Candace Turcotte was Reinhardt's other player.
On April 12-13, the Lady Eagles are at the Union College Invitational in Pineville, Ky. The event takes place at Wasioto Winds Golf Club.
