WALESKA, Ga. -- In a SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference Central Division game on Saturday, the Reinhardt College men's lacrosse team dropped a 26-4 decision to the visiting Kennesaw State University Owls at Ken White Lacrosse Field. Kennesaw State is ranked 19th nationally in one Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association Division II poll and No. 21 in another.
Kennesaw State led 4-1 after the opening quarter and 10-1 at halftime. After three periods, the Owls built an 18-2 advantage.
For Reinhardt, freshman Dustin Carnahan tallied three goals while Channing Hoyt came up with one goal and picked up eight ground balls. Freshman Sean Aghai also had eight ground balls.
The Eagles fall to 0-6 overall and 0-4 within the division while KSU is 8-2 overall, including 3-1 in SELC Central Division play. Reinhardt hosts the University of Alabama Crimson Tide on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both teams are members of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association and the SELC, but the Eagles are affiliated with Division II and Alabama with Division I.
