WALESKA, Ga. -- In its first-ever home game on Saturday afternoon, the Reinhardt College men's lacrosse team fell 24-5 to the visiting Tennessee Wesleyan College Bulldogs in a SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference Central Division contest at Ken White Lacrosse Field. Tennessee Wesleyan is ranked 11th nationally in one Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association Division II poll and 21st in another.
The Bulldogs had a 4-0 lead after one quarter and a 13-1 advantage at halftime. TWC led 21-3 after three periods.
Channing Hoyt scored two goals for Reinhardt while Stefen Raymond-Hussey collected three assists. Freshman Zack Muller came up with a goal and an assist while freshmen Dustin Carnahan and Josh French each netted a goal.
The Eagles are 0-5 overall and 0-3 in divisional play while Tennessee Wesleyan improves to 8-2 overall, including 4-0 in the SELC Central Division. Reinhardt is scheduled to host the Kennesaw State University Owls in another divisional game next Saturday at 2 p.m. Kennesaw State is rated No. 19 nationally in two different MCLA Division II polls.
