CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Away from home on Tuesday afternoon, the Reinhardt College men's lacrosse squad dropped a 12-8 decision to The Citadel Bulldogs in a non-divisional game at Parade Field.
Reinhardt trailed 4-2 after one quarter and stayed within two scores, 8-6, at halftime. The Citadel opened up an 11-7 lead after three periods and each team managed just one goal in the final quarter.
For the Eagles, Channing Hoyt had three goals and an assist while Stefen Raymond-Hussey tallied one goal and two assists. Zack Muller and Dustin Carnahan each collected a goal and an assist while Donny Schreiman and Levor Bryan also scored goals.
Reinhardt is 0-3 overall while the Bulldogs are 1-5. Both schools are Division II members of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association and the SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference. The Eagles are off until facing the Emory University Eagles in an SELC Central Division contest in Atlanta, Ga., on Friday, March 19 at 7 p.m.
