WALESKA, Ga. -- Four members of the 2009-10 Reinhardt College men's basketball team were recently honored with postseason awards from the Appalachian Athletic Conference. In a vote of the nine AAC head coaches, Reinhardt had one Second Team All-AAC selection, one third team all-conference pick and two players named to the all-academic team.  

Earning Second Team All-AAC honors for the Eagles was Will Lewis, a 6-foot-6 senior guard/forward from Hinesville, Ga. Lewis leads the squad in scoring (14.3 points per game), rebounds (7.4 a contest), minutes (27.1 per game) and free throws made (87). In starting the last 18 contests for Reinhardt, he has scored in double figures 15 times and posted a team-best four double-doubles (points-rebounds).

Kordel Alexander, a 5-foot-11 senior guard out of Pensacola, Fla., was the lone Eagles player to receive Third Team All-AAC accolades. Alexander has started all 27 games for Reinhardt and is averaging 10.0 points per contest with a team-best 59 three-pointers made. Within the AAC, he ranks third in three-point field goals made, third in three-point field goals made per game (2.19) and fifth in three-point field goal percentage (35.5 percent, 59-of-166).

Garnering spots on the AAC All-Academic Team were 6-foot-3 junior guard Adam Darling from Shady Shores, Texas, and 6-foot junior guard Wes Jones out of Ball Ground, Ga. To be recognized as a member of the all-academic team, a player must: have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or better, be at least a sophomore in academic status and have played in a minimum of 50 percent of the team's competitions.

The Eagles are currently 17-11 overall heading into the semifinal round of the AAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed. Reinhardt went 9-7 during regular season conference play for sixth place.
