GREENVILLE, S.C. -- On the road in its first Central Division game on Sunday afternoon, the Reinhardt College men's lacrosse team could not hold the lead in a 15-14 loss to the Furman University Paladins at the Furman Intramural Field.
Reinhardt led 4-3 after one quarter and increased the advantage to 9-7 by halftime. The Eagles remained on top, 12-11, after three periods but were outscored 4-2 in the final quarter.
Dustin Carnahan and Zack Muller led the way for Reinhardt by scoring five goals apiece.
The Eagles, Division II members of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association and the SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference, is 0-2 on the season and 0-1 in the division while Furman moves to 1-2 overall and has posted the same record within the Central Division. Reinhardt returns to action with a non-divisional game at The Citadel Bulldogs on March 2. The contest is set for 4 p.m. in Charleston, S.C.
