WALESKA, Ga. -- Despite posting its highest scoring output of the season, the Reinhardt College junior varsity men's basketball team lost 98-87 to the Gadsden State Community College Parsons inside the James & Sis Brown Athletic Center on Thursday evening.
"That was the best we have played all season," Reinhardt head coach Heath Hooper said. "Snead State is a top junior college program, and I am extremely proud of my guys' hard work and dedication."
At halftime, the Eagles were down just 55-49 but in the end fell by an 11-point margin. Snead State made 16 three-point field goals in the contest with 10 of them coming in the opening half.
Joe Liptak poured in a game-best 30 points for Reinhardt while Dan Merriman tallied 14 and Marcus Turner 13.
The Eagles will host the Gordon College Highlanders at 8 p.m. on Monday.
