WALESKA, Ga. -- Andrew Bradshaw, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound defenseman originally from St. Petersburg, Fla., has signed an athletic grant-in-aid to attend Reinhardt College in the fall and play for the Eagles' first-year men's lacrosse program in spring 2010 under head coach Binz Hansen. Bradshaw will come to Reinhardt from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Ga., where he played for head coach Patrick Lynch.
"Andrew has all of the tools to be an outstanding defender," Hansen said. "With his eagerness and desire to play, he will become a superb player."
Bradshaw, the son of William and Cally Bradshaw, now resides in Marietta, Ga. He played two years of lacrosse at McEachern, earning one varsity letter after battling an injury. A fine all-around student-athlete for the Indians, Bradshaw was also a three-time letterwinner in football as a lineman.
"It's a nice campus, I like Coach Hansen and I just want to play lacrosse again," Bradshaw said of Reinhardt. "I saw the campus when I came up to the tryout and it's really nice."
Bradshaw chose the Eagles over Mars Hill College and Florida Southern College, both NCAA Division II members.
