WALESKA, Ga. -- Sean Aghai, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound defenseman originally from Huntington Beach, Calif., has signed an athletic grant-in-aid to attend Reinhardt College in the fall and play for the Eagles' first-year men's lacrosse program in spring 2010 under head coach Binz Hansen. Aghai will come to Reinhardt from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Ga., where he played for head coach Patrick Lynch.
"Sean is a great athlete that is sure to succeed at the college level," Hansen said. "I am looking for great things to come in Sean's future"
Aghai, the son of Gerard and Susan Aghai, now resides in Powder Springs. At McEachern, Aghai was a three-time letterwinner in lacrosse, earned four varsity letters in football and three as a wrestler. In wrestling, he finished fourth in the state as a junior and fifth as a senior in Class AAAAA.
"It's close to home and I get to play lacrosse in college and get an education," Aghai said of Reinhardt. "I like the campus."
Aghai chose the Eagles over the College of Mount St. Joseph and Birmingham-Southern College, both NCAA Division III members.
