DALLAS, Ga. -- Joy Ogide, a 5-foot-11 middle blocker from Dallas, Ga., has signed an athletic grant-in-aid to attend Reinhardt College next fall and play volleyball for the Lady Eagles under head coach Angela Monds. Ogide will come to Reinhardt from Paulding County High School in Dallas, where she played for head coach Barbara Mazur.
Ogide, the daughter of Patience and Young Ogide, was a three-time letterwinner in volleyball and also a four-year member of the Lady Patriots basketball team. She is a Senior Ambassador and received the Vince Dooley Award at PCHS. Ogide comes from an extremely athletic family in which her brother and two sisters all attended colleges on athletic scholarships. Her sister, Emy, earned four letters in basketball at the University of Cincinnati while her brother, Andy, is currently one of the top basketball players at Colorado State University after transferring from the University of Mississippi. Joy's other sister, Lisa, was a standout volleyball player at Southern Union State Community College last year.
