LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- On Tuesday night, the Reinhardt College women's basketball team dropped a 61-50 decision at the Covenant College Lady Scots in a non-conference game inside the Barnes Physical Education Center.
Reinhardt trailed 30-26 at halftime. For the game, the Lady Eagles outrebounded Covenant 47-36 but committed 30 turnovers. From beyond the three-point line, Reinhardt finished just 1-of-11 (9.1 percent), compared to 9-of-34 (26.5 percent) for the Lady Scots.
Kinsey Galyon had 14 points while Dallas Smith scored 10 for the Lady Eagles. Karina Gass collected nine points and tied for game-high rebounding honors with Galyon as each grabbed eight boards. Freshman Monique Blanding added a game-best six steals.
Reinhardt falls to 0-2 overall on the season while Covenant evens its record at 2-2 overall. The Lady Eagles will next play on Wednesday, Nov. 12 when traveling to take on the Tennessee Wesleyan College Lady Bulldogs. The contest is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Athens, Tenn.
