WALESKA, Ga. -- Andrea Thibaudeau, an outfielder/first baseman from Cartersville, Ga., has signed an athletic grant-in-aid to attend Reinhardt College next fall and play softball for the Lady Eagles under head coach Glen Crawford. Thibaudeau will come to Reinhardt from Cass High School, where she played for head coach Tim Ayers.  

"Andrea has a cannon for an arm and will mesh well with our team," Crawford said. "She has the ability to compete right away and by concentrating just on softball, she'll only get better. Andrea is a great student and athlete who is very coachable."

Thibaudeau, the daughter of Perry and the late Michele Thibaudeau, was a fine all-around athlete at Cass, earning four varsity letters in softball, and three each in basketball and soccer. In softball, she played on teams that won at least 18 games each season and made four straight appearances in the state playoffs. Last year, she was a Second Team All-Region 6-AAA selection and the recipient of the Lady Colonels' Coaches Award. Also as a senior, Thibaudeau was a Second Team All-Bartow County basketball honoree by the Bartow County Bank/Daily Tribune News.

"I've always liked Reinhardt and I just love the campus - it's really pretty," Thibaudeau said. "It's close enough to home where if I need to come home to see my family for the weekend, it's not a big deal. I really like the community and everything."

Thibaudeau was also considering Southern States Athletic Conference rival Brenau University, Truett-McConnell College and Meredith College before choosing the Lady Eagles.
