WALESKA, Ga. – Reinhardt College head men's soccer coach Dan Farnham has announced his 2008 recruiting class. Farnham has signed 10 players to an athletic grant-in-aid to attend Reinhardt next fall and play soccer for the Eagles.
"I'm very excited about the quality of this recruiting class, both as players and students," Farnham said. "This is one of my strongest groups in recent years and I believe the players will have an immediate positive impact on the program. I'm especially excited about adding size and depth to the goalkeeper position."
Reinhardt's signees include Kyle Barry, a 6'2 midfielder from Villa Rica, Ga., and Carrollton High School; Bobby Bolender, a 6'3 goalkeeper from Kennesaw, Ga., and a transfer out of NCAA Division II Lenoir-Rhyne College; Mirvad Causevic, a 5'10 defender from Woodstock (Ga.) High School by way of Bosnia; Trey Henderson, a 6'3 defender out of Chamblee (Ga.) High School; Denny Jones, a 5'9 midfielder from Griffin, Ga., and Spalding High School; Brad McMillan, a 5'11 midfielder out of Peachtree City, Ga., and Starr's Mill High School; Zack Schultze, a 6'3 goalkeeper from Newnan, Ga., and East Coweta High School; Marshall Westbrooks, a 6'1 goalkeeper out of Kennesaw (Ga.) Mountain High School; Paul Wiesboeck, a 5'10 forward from Atlanta, Ga., and a transfer out of Georgia Perimeter College; and John Wilson, a 5'9 defender from Kennesaw Mountain.
All of the recruits will enter Reinhardt as freshmen next fall, except for Bolender and Wiesboeck. Boldender, another player out of Kennesaw Mountain, will be a sophomore while Wiesboeck will be classified as a junior after spending time at both Georgia Perimeter and NCAA Division II Wingate University. Wiesboeck is a graduate of Lakeside High School in DeKalb County (Ga.).
The Eagles earned a bid to the NAIA Region XVII Tournament last season and finished 10-8 overall, including 5-4 in the Southern States Athletic Conference for fourth place.
