CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – Tyler Hays, from Cartersville, Ga., has signed an athletic grant-in-aid to attend Reinhardt College next fall and play golf for the Eagles under Head Coach Ken Dixon. Hays will come to Reinhardt from Cartersville High School, where he played for Head Coach Tim Graves.

"Tyler is a very hard worker and has a lot of potential to be one of our top players," Dixon said. "His game is pretty solid all around. He is a great student and will be a great addition to the team."

Hays, the son of April and Dennis Ballard, is a three-year letterwinner at Cartersville who also earned a letter in football. The last two seasons, he led his team to Region 6AAA championships. On April 21, Hays finished in second place at the 2008 region tournament. In 2007, he guided the Purple Hurricanes to a runner-up finish in the state tournament after ending in a tie for second place individually. Hays will be participating in the 2008 AAA state tournament on May 5.
