FORT GAINES, Ga. – Reinhardt College's first-year women's golf program concluded its 2007-08 season on Monday with freshman Megan Lane (Cartersville, Ga.) representing the Lady Eagles at the NAIA Region XIII Championship. The University of Mobile hosted the two-day, 54-hole tournament at Meadow Links Golf Course at George T. Bagby State Park in Fort Gaines, Ga.
Reinhardt's Lane finished in 22nd place. She shot 98 on Sunday and then rounds of 95 and 101 on Tuesday for a 294 total on the par 72, 5967-yard course.
Four teams took part in the event with Lane playing as the only individual. Southern States Athletic Conference member Berry College, ranked second nationally in the NAIA, claimed the tournament title with a 966 total, followed by another SSAC school, No. 9-ranked Shorter College, at 987. Host Mobile, ranked 13th in the country, finished in third place at 989.
