WALESKA, Ga. – Reinhardt College softball player Ashley Bramhall, a senior pitcher/outfielder from Houston, Texas, has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her play from March 17-23. It marks the first time Bramhall has ever received the honor.
 
In six games last week, Bramhall hit .450 (9-for-20) with team highs in hits, RBIs (six) and runs scored (six). She led Reinhardt to a 5-1 record – including two wins over SSAC foe Lee University, which was ranked 11th nationally in the NAIA at the time – with three doubles and a slugging percentage of .600.

For the season, Bramhall is batting .361 with 22 RBIs and nine stolen bases while leading the Lady Eagles in hits (35), home runs (three), doubles (nine), runs scored (25) and total bases (55). She ranks third in the SSAC in stolen bases per game (0.32), fifth in total bases per game (1.96), sixth in hits per game (1.25), eighth in doubles per game (0.32) and eighth in runs scored per game (0.89).

Reinhardt, 20-8 overall and 4-2 in the conference, will play an SSAC doubleheader on Tuesday at Shorter College, which is ranked No. 8 in the country in the NAIA. Game one is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Rome, Ga.
