RUTLEDGE, Ga. – Freshmen Megan Lane (Cartersville, Ga.) and Gina Kim (Duluth, Ga.) represented Reinhardt College’s first-year women’s golf program at the 2nd Annual Piedmont College Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at The Creek at Hard Labor State Park Golf Course. It was the second event of the spring season for Reinhardt.
Among the 37 golfers, the Lady Eagles’ Lane finished in 15th place. She shot a round of 95 on Monday and followed that up with a 96 on Tuesday, ending with a 36-hole total of 191 on the tough par 72, 5804-yard layout.
Methodist University – which has captured 20 NCAA Division III national championships in the last 22 years, including the past 10 – ran away with the tournament title by firing 326-312—638. Six teams took part in the event.
The Lady Eagles will host the inaugural Reinhardt College Invitational on Sunday, March 30 at City Club Marietta (Ga.).
