WALESKA, Ga. – Two members of the 2007-08 Reinhardt College women’s basketball team were honored with postseason awards from the Southern States Athletic Conference on Wednesday night. In a vote of the 11 SSAC head coaches, Reinhardt’s Nicole Willis was selected to the 15-member all-conference squad while Kinsey Galyon earned a spot on the five-player SSAC All-Freshman Team.

She started all 30 games this past season, scoring in double figures 24 times with a career-high 28 points in the Lady Eagles’ home victory over SSAC foe Columbia College on Jan. 31.

She played in all 30 games with 28 starts, scoring in double digits 25 times in her first collegiate season. In an SSAC loss at Berry College on Jan. 19, Galyon led all scorers with a career-high 28 points.

The Lady Eagles also had three players on the SSAC All-Academic Team for having at least a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average. Those honorees include Kendra Goad, a 5-foot-11 junior forward/center from Cartersville, Ga.; Lindsay Taylor, a 5-foot-9 sophomore guard out of Marietta, Ga.; and 5-foot-11 junior forward/center Kathy Thornton from Woodstock, Ga.
