
Reinhardt University's volleyball team lost both ends of a tri-match Tuesday afternoon, falling in straight sets to Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Bryan (25-13, 25-18, 25-16) and to hosting Emmanuel College (25-15, 25-23, 25-9).
In the first match, setter Kim McIntyre had a double-double with 22 assists and 12 digs as the Lady Eagles fell to Bryan, dropping to 1-4 in AAC play for the season. Amelia Moore had a team-high 11 kills in the loss, with Candace Turcotte adding 10 kills.
Bryan was credited with seven service aces as the Lady Eagles struggled to get into a solid passing game. The Lady Eagles also committed 20 attack errors for the match and hit .074 as a team in defeat.
Against Emmanuel, the Lady Eagles (9-9) came close to taking set two, but ultimately fell in the match, 3-0. The match marked the second time that Emmanuel had defeated the Lady Eagles in straight sets this season.
Reinhardt will be back in action Thursday when it takes on Point in an AAC match. First serve in West Point, Ga., is set for 6 p.m.
